Chamber System
Currently
we are NOT RECOMMENDING Chamber Systems.
We
have seen problems developing with them and we have STOPPED
using them.
I
will add a page soon about EZflow (picture
below) which is now approved for Indiana and is the product we are
currently recommending.
Currently
we are not too excited about the new Presby Enviro-Septic System
either, a smaller system is just that, "a smaller system"
in this game bigger is ALWAYS better.
Systems like Chambers and SB2 pipe are geared at the installer
as being "Quick and Easy" but in my mind the homeowner's
long term interest should come before my interest of having a good
day at work. Now to be fair EZ flow is geared the same way but it
is by no means as installer friendly as the systems mentioned previously
and this hurts their sales. Most distributors don't want to handle
EZ flow due to it's BULKY nature, it takes up a lot of space with
a small profit margin. We take the pains to deliver what we feel
is the best product currently available to use in Indiana.

Why
do you NOT want Chambers???
This System
is a DIRECT replacement for gravel and has good points like less
soil compaction and no fines from gravel to plug soil,
BUT
the fact of the plastic top not allowing vapor to move through has
presented problems on some sites. Another factor that will likely
show up in time is bio mat, a natural occurrence in systems that
limits absorption into soil. With Chambers this is likely to form
faster than with aggregate systems.
In
Indiana Chambers are approved for a 25% reduction in field bed size
over Gravel. The
40% reduction has been removed.
Never
let ANYONE talk you into installing a REDUCED size system!!

The two
most critical components to a
Successful system are Soil Identification and the
Proper Design of a system for that soil
Only
use a VERY competent STATE
APPROVED Soil Scientist to do your soil report,,,,,,,,,
We do have a recommendation
for one.
If you
have a system permitted and no layout flags on your site,,,, it
is time to find a NEW contractor!!!

Trench
Systems are used when you have better soils; they are very effective
and the most cost efficient technology available now.
We
are the only local company that can install your system with irregular
trench lengths but you must have a flood dose system to do so.
This is a VERY useful ability when space is limited for a Field
Bed.
A Perimeter Drain or Curtain Drain
will lower your seasonal water table and is frequently required
on your system.
