We are a family owned company and got into the septic business after we had to install one for ourselves. I grew up with dirt and toolboxes, growing up with a grain farm there is no other choice. I guess I just took a liking to digging in the dirt more so than plowing it. We (my father Mike, my wife Donna and myself, Lee) were what you may call weekend warriors in the excavation business until 1994 when my wife and I quit our jobs and went for broke, we have never looked back. My father is retired now so my wife and I keep the business moving.

            We have always liked to push the edge on new techniques and technologies in the "On-Site" business and with that we lead the way for it in Southwest Indiana. I once served on the board of directors for I.O.W.P.A (Indiana On-Site Wastewater Professionals Association) and work closely with the ISDH (Indiana State Dept. of Health) to insure the State and Installers are working for the betterment of the industry (this is a monumental uphill battle). I always look for a better way of doing things and the State seems to be interested in what I have to say. We have put together educational seminars in the local area and attend trade shows to keep up with the changes in on-site technology.

            I always design a system with performance in mind first, and then I try to get that performance in the most cost-effective manner I can. We may not be as cheap as the other guys but we do give you your money's worth. We use the best quality materials ALWAYS we are not brand loyal if something better comes along we will switch. When you hire L&M you hire the best short and simple. Our customers have either been involved with a failed system or they absolutely do not want to chance it. Our non-customers are the ones trying to get the cheapest thing they can find. We have already had the privilege of losing a bid on a job and a few years later we installed their second system.
